Gram Vaani organized a state-level workshop to seek government and state level partnerships for Jharkhand Mobile Vaani. A detailed report is available here: Workshop Report

The workshop participants brought many insights into how Jharkhand Mobile Vaani can be improved and made richer.

Programmes and content

1. Programmes on health, livelihood, and moral/social education for children
2. Programmes catering to the adolescents
3. Campaign on children trafficking where information about missing children can be forwarded to Bal Kalyan Samities
4. More programmes on women, tribal and marginalised groups

Engagement and networking on JMV

1. Linking up with Central Govt. for various grievance redressals
2. Linking up with MNREGA ombudsman to forward MNREGA related grievance to them
3. Routing specific topic-oriented issues to particular CSOs/ CBOs working on relevant areas
4. Face-to-face meeting with N.N.Sinha, Secretary IT and Principal Secretary to the Governor
5. Involving print-media more frequently and in a bigger way

Community engagement

1. Conducting field level workshop, trainings and discussion forums at district, block and village levels
2. Conducting special workshops for including women, tribal groups and marginalised sections
3. Reaching out to SHGs, School management Committees and various formal and informal groups
4. Guidance calls to be given with increased sensitivity to make the callers comfortable
5. Wall paintings and similar activity to promote JMV among the communities

Reports and publications –

1. Issue wise compilation of reports and forwarding to the respective departments.
2. Organizational level annual or bi-annual report
3. Proper documentation of last 1year’s work and advocacy done on its basis
4. Publishing News-letters
