Community media

Community media is indeed the core of our motivation. The MINP platform can enable the delivery of community media in a low-cost and appropriate manner. The figure below illustrates a sample scenario where participatory media staff and volunteers make live and offline audio/video recordings that are relayed to the local co-casting station. The station uses MINP to communicate with other MINP enabled community radio or co-casting stations or cable TV operators, and relay the recordings on their respective supported communication planes. Finally, the recordings are also made available through a centralized content hosting and sharing platform, with the vision to ultimately create a youtube for the bottom of the pyramid populations.
